WI cricketers to wear BLM logo on shirt collars
London, June 29
The West Indies cricket team will wear a Black Lives Matter emblem on the collars of their shirts during the series against England, which begins on July 8.
West Indies will use the logo that was worn on the shirts of all 20 Premier League football clubs since the league restarted earlier in June.
The International Cricket Council has given permission for the emblem to be worn on the teams’ collars.
“We have to find some way to have equal rights and people must not be viewed differently because of the colour of their skin or ethnic background,” West Indies captain Jason Holder said. — Agencies
