Op Sindoor one of India’s boldest military responses: Maj Gen Bakshi
The Patiala Management Association organised a patriotic talk on ‘Insights of Operation Sindoor’ by Maj Gen GD Bakshi (retd).
The session was aimed at educating attendees on how Indian Defence Forces jointly destroyed terror bases in Pakistan after the Pahalgam attack and how the operation maintained strategic restraint while gaining international support.
Bhalinder Shah Singh, general secretary of the association and executive team welcomed GD Bakshi.
During the 100-minute session, Bakshi said he started his career as Second Lieutenant under the command of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw (Chief of Army Staff at that time) in 1971. He said he had passed out NDA, just one month before the beginning of India-Pak war. Their batch was commissioned one month earlier so that they can be deputed at borders.
Maj Gen Bakshi said ‘Operation Sindoor’ marked one of India’s boldest military responses in recent history. He pointed out that, “Through strategic policymaking, information dominance, and psychological operations, India diplomatically and economically isolated Pakistan while strengthening domestic preparedness and global backing.”
He added by suspending the Indus Water Treaty, India sent a decisive message — “blood and water cannot flow together.” On the global stage, India exposed Pakistan’s terror infrastructure and diplomatically isolated it, he added. The event was well-received by participants, providing valuable insights and knowledge about how our defence forces saved India from enemies attack and destroyed the backbone of Pakistan by razing its air bases and terrorist camps.
