1,776 cases settled at lok adalat

Patiala, December 14

A total of 1,776 cases were settled involving an amount of Rs 26,49,16,817 through mutual compromise between parties in the National Lok Adalat today.

The Lok Adalat was held under the supervision of Hon’ble Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, Mohali Justice RK Jain and Rajinder Aggarwal, District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Patiala.

A total of 27 judicial benches (Patiala 18, Samana 3, Rajpura 03 and Nabha 03) were constituted in the district. On this occasion, Rajinder Aggarwal, District & Sessions Judge and Parminder Kaur, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-secretary, DLSA, visited each Lok Adalat bench and inspired the parties for amicable resolution of their disputes.
