Patiala, February 14

The Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, under Mission Innovate Punjab, organised a workshop on IP Technology and Commercialisation at the Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala. The workshop was in collaboration with the cell for IPR Promotion and Management (CIPAM), Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT)-GoI and IPR Cell of the institute.

It was aimed at encouraging innovators, researchers and start-up community of the region to explore converting their innovative ideas into startups. Shubham Istrewal from CIPAM discussed Indian IPR Regime and initiatives being taken up by the Centre for IP Commercialisation.

Experts laid emphasis on the need for deep research for creating financial assets. The workshop was attended by 120 researchers, faculty members, students and innovators from the region.
