In a random sampling by the Dairy Development Department during an awareness camp in the Tafzalpur area, of 25 milk samples 10 to 35 per cent water was found in 20.

Residents had brought milk they were using at their homes to check its quality. Milk samples were also tested for starch, urea and other substances. However, no other substance was found in the 20 samples other than water.

Jai Kishan, inspector, Dairy Development Department, said milk consumers’ awareness campaign was organised under the Tandarust Punjab Mission today. — TNS
