24-year-old man hacked to death at Anaj Mandi

Following a brawl between neighbours, a 24-year old man was hacked to death while his father was grievously injured. The Patiala police have registered a case and are conducting raids to arrest the accused.

The victim, Vikramjit Singh, was to fly to Italy on a work visa in 10 days and was working as a nursing assistant at a private hospital.

The victim had returned home after celebrating his birthday with his friends on Monday evening. “When he reached home, the neighbours had a verbal argument, which turned bloody. The neighbours came with more persons and dragged my son out and hit him with rods and an axe,” said the mother of the victim.

Harjinder Singh, father of the victim, who went to save his son was also attacked and injured badly. Anaj Mandi police station is probing the case.
