Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Patiala Range, Mandeep Singh Sidhu, IPS, promoted 727 officers serving in the districts of Patiala, Sangrur, Barnala and Malerkotla.

“Promotions are granted periodically, but receiving a promotion on a festive occasion like Basant Panchami brings an added sense of joy to the personnel,” the DIG said.

Among those promoted are 23 Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) who have been elevated to the rank of Sub-Inspector, 132 from Head Constable to ASI, and 572 from constable to head constable.

Sidhu congratulated the promoted officers and their families, extending his best wishes. He expressed his hope that these officers would continue to work diligently, uphold the rule of law, and serve the public with dedication.
