Patiala: ADO paper leak complaint filed with CMO 3 days before exam, says tutor

A day after an internal committee formed by the Punjab Public Service Commission to probe the Agriculture Development Officer (ADO) examination paper leak allegations found no involvement of any Agriculture Department official, it has come to light that one of the aspirants had lodged a paper leak complaint with the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) three days before the examination.
Under the scanner for posting a video and levelling allegations of paper leak, Ajay Singh Jakhar, a tutor who runs a coaching institute, had claimed that an aspirant for the post of ADO had raised the issue and sent a complaint to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) three days before the examination.
Ajay claimed that he knew the students who had lodged the complaint with the CMO. “The whistleblower student should be persuaded to join the investigation and the police should go to the bottom of the matter and get hold of the people who were taking money in lieu of the paper,” said Jakhar.
The complaint — made through an anonymous email ID, the copy of which is with The Tribune — was not only sent to the CMO but also to various political leaders.
It reads, “There is a speculation that the upcoming exam has been compromised. A senior official is demanding Rs 32 lakh to ensure the access to the leaked exam materials.” In the letter, the complainant demanded investigation in the matter.
PPSC Chairman Jatinder Singh Aulakh on Thursday refuted the allegations of paper leak and maintained that the internal investigation found these baseless. The exam for the posts of Agriculture Development Officer (ADO) was conducted on June 30.
