They are encouraging syndicate by offering road recarpeting tenders to their favourite contractors- one of them from Mohali, while the small contractors are being ignored.
Khosla highlighted that despite recovering nearly Rs 20 crore from the L&T company, - which is carrying out the work of canal-based water project- the Corporation awarded all bitumen road contracts to their favoured contractor, bypassing competitive bidding.
He further alleged that restrictive tender conditions were deliberately imposed to exclude over 160 eligible hot mix plant contractors from Punjab, including those registered with the PWD.

He called for immediate cancellation of questionable tenders and insisted that all future contracts be awarded at fair, competitive rates.
