BJP’s victory in Delhi a mandate for good governance, says Preneet Kaur
The local unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today went into celebration mode after the saffron party swept the assembly poll in the national capital.
Senior party leader and former Patiala MP Preneet Kaur expressed her delight over the Delhi Election Results, calling it a decisive rejection of the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) false promises. She said the clear mandate shows a strong faith of people in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s model of governance.
“The humiliating defeat of their top leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, proves that Delhi’s electorate has decisively rejected AAP’s false promises,” she added.
The leader further emphasised that Punjab, too, has now seen the true face of the AAP, adding, “In the last three years, Punjab has witnessed no development. Instead, corruption, illegal mining, and crime have skyrocketed.”
“AAP has failed to fulfil any of its grand promises—be it the Rs 1,000 per month for women, improvements in education, or strengthening the healthcare system. The state’s schools and hospitals are in shambles, and the government has completely failed to deliver on its commitments,” she said.
Kaur firmly criticised the AAP for “misusing” Punjab’s resources to fund their political ambitions in other states.
To mark BJP’s victory in the Delhi Elections, Kaur, along with BJP Patiala workers, celebrated by distributing sweets at Anardana Chowk. The leader thanked the party workers and the people for their unwavering support and expressed confidence that the momentum will carry forward into Punjab’s elections.
