The Patiala Development Authority (PDA) carried out a drive to demolish two unauthorised colonies in Seona and Balbehra villages here today.

The colonies were developed in violation of the Punjab Apartment and Property Regulation Act, 1995. The drive was conducted on the orders of Chief Administrator Manisha Rana and Additional Chief Administrator Jashanpreet Kaur Gill.

The operation was carried out in the presence of District Town Planner Seema Kaushal, Assistant Town Planner Gurinder Singh, Sub-Divisional Engineer Rajeev Kumar, and Junior Engineers Gurpreet Singh, Sanjeev Kumar, Gurpyar Singh and Pankaj Garg.

The PDA has also issued notices to several other colonisers involved in developing ‘unauthorised’ colonies.
