Devotees throng temples in Sirhind

Residents thronged various temples in Sirhind to celebrate the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Lord Rama at Ayodhya. Soaked in religious fervour, people danced and sang joyfully at various temples. The town was filled with festive spirit, and a large number of langars were organised across the city. The city was decorated like it was Diwali.
The Barfani Sewa Dal, Brahmin Sabha, Khatri Sabha and Mandir Committee organised a function at Sanatan Dharm Mandir at Sirhind Mandi, where Sundarakand Path was held in the morning, followed by Bhog of Sri Ramayan and Kirtan. Baba Paramjit Singh Ji Hansali Wale; MP Dr Amar Singh; MLA Lakhbir Singh Rai; Former MLA Kuljit Singh Nagra; BJP district president Didar Singh Bhatti; SAD(B) leader Jagdeep Singh Cheema; and SP(I) Rakesh Yadav were present at the event.
Similar functions were held at Mandi Gobindgarh, Amloh, Bassi Pathana, Khamano, and Sanghol towns in the district. The Ayodhya ceremony was broadcasted on large screens across the city.
