The Fatehgarh Sahib District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) has launched a campaign to identify inmates and detainees who claimed to be juveniles at the time of the crime. The campaign has been organised under the leadership of District and Sessions Judge Arun Gupta. He urged inmates, who claimed to be juveniles at the time of the crime, to send an application to the Childcare Institute.

Manpreet Kaur, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, said apart from this, all other prisoners or detainees between the age of 18 and 22 years would be scrutinised, and if anyone among them was identified as a juvenile at the time of the crime, he would be dealt with as per the law. She said under the campaign, the chairman had assigned lawyers to visit jails to collect information on the prescribed form and take appropriate action.
