District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Parneet Shergill today urged the youth to not only cast vote but also convey the message from door to door to inspire citizens of every section of the society to exercise the franchise so that the government of their dreams can be formed.

Addressing a district-level event held to mark National Voters Day today, she said the youth were the future of the country must fulfill their social responsibility of making a strong democratic system. She said EVMs made the election process more transparent.
