Faculty development programme concludes

The three-day AICTE-approved Faculty Development Programme(FDP) on Universal Human Values concluded with the valedictory session in the academic block of Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University (JGND PSOU) here today. Rajneesh Arora, Chairman, National Coordination Committee for Induction Programme (NCCIP), AICTE, was the chief guest.

Arora delved into the importance of Universal Human Values curriculum. While interacting with the participants, Arora emphasised the importance of UHV course for developing teamwork and elaborated on the implementation of holistic value-based education.

Professor Karamjeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor, JGND PSOU, said the university has established its Universal Human Values Cell. “PSOU also provides course in human values at the entrance level in the University,” he said.

50 participants from various institutions— Amity University, Mohali, Thapar University, Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala, MCM DAV College for Women, Chandigarh, Punjabi University, Patiala, Saffron College for Girls and Govt (State) College of Education, Patiala— attended the sessions.
