Members from the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) held a meeting at Gurdwara Fatehgarh Sahib and announced another protest for March 28.

Addressing the farmers, Nahar Singh and Jaspal Singh said they had been protesting since February 13, 2024, demanding the implementation of the conceded demands and for legal guarantee on minimum support price (MSP) at Shambhu and Khanauri borders and it was unfortunate that farmer leaders of both the fronts were arrested by the police after as many as seven rounds of meetings with the Union minister.

“Elderly farmers were also mistreated and their belongings, tractor-trailers and even gas cylinders and rations were taken away, which is deplorable,” they said, adding that their stir would continue till they achieve their goals.
