Fatehgarh MLA, locals honour outgoing DC

Residents, led by Fatehgarh Sahib MLA Lakhbir Singh Rai honoured outgoing Deputy Commissioner Parneet Shergill for her services during her tenure today. The MLA said Fatehgarh Sahib was the land of martyrs and Parneet had served as an honest and hardworking officer, She had strived to redress the grievances of the common man, he said.

He said she had done exceptional work in benefiting the weaker sections of the society and worked in a transparent manner.

He said she did not allow any corrupt practice in her office and that her two and a half years of service would always be remembered. DC Shergill thanked the citizens of the district, administrative officials and the media for their support.
