Fire at cattle feed factory causes loss worth crores
The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained
A massive fire broke out early this morning at a feed factory, located near Bhadak village on the Rajpura-Patiala road, causing losses worth several crores of rupees.
According to Rohit, the factory owner, he received a call around 5 am informing him that smoke was billowing from his unit premises. When he reached the site, he found that fire had already spread on the factory premises. The fire brigade was immediately informed, and multiple fire tenders rushed to the spot.
Narinder Shastri, Municipal Council president, also reached the spot and arranged for additional fire tenders from thermal plant and chemical factory to assist in controlling the blaze.
Despite efforts by the firefighting teams, significant damage had already occurred on the factory premises, with initial estimates indicating losses running into crores.
Shastri said, “As soon as we received information, we called fire tenders to contain the blaze. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.”
