Deputy Commissioner Showkat Ahmad Parray said as per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, four MBBS seats from the Central pool were earmarked for children of victims of terrorism from various states in medical colleges for the academic year 2024-25. Out of these, one seat is reserved at AN Magadh Medical College in Gaya, Bihar; one at Grant Medical College in Mumbai, Maharashtra; and two at JNM Medical College in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. “Under this scheme, children from families affected by terrorism who meet the required qualifications for MBBS and have scored at least 50 percentile for the general category and 40 percentile for SC, ST, and OBC categories in the NEET examination can apply. Therefore, eligible candidates can submit their applications through the DM-II branch of the Punjab Government Revenue, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management Department before September 17,” he said.
