With the MC election around the corner, Punjab Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education Minister Balbir Singh inaugurated a state-of-the-art ultrasound machine worth Rs 25 lakh at the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Tripuri, aiming to enhance healthcare services for residents of the Patiala rural constituency and Tripuri area.
The hospital will soon undergo a facelift, including addition of a new floor, lifts and renovated bathrooms. The Health Minister assured that these improvements would be completed within two months.
He said, “With the installation of the new ultrasound machine, CHC Tripuri is now better equipped to cater to the community’s healthcare needs. This, coupled with existing X-ray facilities, will significantly enhance maternal and child healthcare services.”
He also announced the upgrading of Dr Khushdeva Singh Chest and TB Hospital, which will soon have new emergency and ICU facilities. Patient facilitation centres are also being established at Mata Kaushalya Hospital and Rajindra Hospital.
Director of Punjab Health System Corporation Anil Kumar, Civil Surgeon Jatinder Kansal, district family welfare officer Balkar Singh, SMO Tripuri Monica Kharbanda were present at the occasion.
