IIT-Ropar, PSPCL ink pact for training, research
Patiala, July 11
IIT, Ropar (IIT-Ropar), and Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote skill-based training and education, organise industrial visits, enhance research collaboration in areas of mutual interest and exchange data for research purposes.
Under the agreement, the IIT would conduct capacity-building programmes for PSPCL employees, which would enhance their skills and familiarise them with the latest technologies. Additionally, the PSPCL would provide the necessary data and support to IIT-Ropar students to work on real industrial problems.
PSPCL Director RS Saini said, “This will give us an opportunity to build a bridge between education and industry.”
IIT-Ropar Director Prof Rajeev Ahuja said, “This agreement will help students gain real-world experience and strengthen industry-academic collaboration.”
