Patiala, January 17

An inmate at New District Jail, Nabha, was caught while using a mobile phone on Thursday.

The suspect has been identified as Jaswinder Singh, a resident of Chandigarh.

The authorities said they got a tip-off that Jaswinder was having a mobile phone. The Assistant Superintendent said they recovered a mobile from the possession of the suspect.

The police have registered a case against the suspect under Section 52- A of the Prisons Act.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
