Deputy Commissioner Preeti Yadav today honoured Milanmeet Kaur, a student of Patiala School for the Deaf and Blind, for winning gold and bronze in judo at the 10th Asia Pacific Games for the Deaf in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Congratulating Milanmeet, her parents Balwinder Kaur and Dilbagh Singh, and the school management, Dr Yadav described her as the pride of Patiala and a beacon of inspiration for others. “Milanmeet has created history by excelling on the international stage and bringing glory to the nation with her remarkable achievement,” she said.

A Class VIII student, who is hearing and speech impaired, clinched the gold and bronze in the 48 kg weight category.
