Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Punjab Sports University holds athletics meet

The Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Punjab Sports University hosted an Athletics Meet at the Professor Gursewak Singh Government College of Physical Education.

Additional Deputy Commissionor (G) Isha Singal attended the event as the chief guest and Dr Rajbir Singh Gill Deputy Director of NIS, as the guest of honor.

The event commenced with a march past from the houses of both the university and the college, setting a spirit of unity and competition for the day ahead.

Athletes displayed their skills across a variety of events, including, 100m sprint, 1500m and 400m race event, shot put, long jump, high jump, tug of war and relay races.

Varsity students also showcased vibrant cultural performances, featuring bhangra, yoga demonstrations and sport-themed dances.

ADC Isha Singal congratulated to the outstanding athletes, best male athlete Mohak Manav Dass (BPES second year student), best female athlete Roshni (BPES 1 st Year student), best athlete of the year Harkirat Singh (Prof. Gursewak Singh Govt. College of Physical Education).

Registrar and ollege principal Anubhav Walia said, “We are proud of our athletes and grateful for the support from everyone involved. It was a day filled with athletic achievements, cultural displays, and unforgettable memories.”
