Patiala, February 17
The Mechanical Engineering Department of Punjabi University is set to organise an international conference — on the theme “Advances in Mechanical and Sustainable Engineering” — on March 11-12.
The conveners of the conference, Professor Khushdeep Goyal and Dr Harvinder Singh Dhaliwal, said this conference would be held online. Dr Harpreet Singh, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology at Ropar, would be the chief guest on March 11, while Dr Gurmeet Kaur, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, would be the guest of honour.
Eminent personalities in the field such as Dr Gulshan Kumar from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Dubai; Dr Amrik Singh, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology; and Dr Jasdeep Bhinder, Post-Doctorate, Mechanical Engineering from Canada, would be the keynote speakers at the conference.
Co-convener Dr Chandan Deep Singh said a unique feature of this conference is that all organisers and resource persons are rendering their services free of charge, and likewise, no fees are being charged to the participants.
The conference secretary, Dr Davinder Singh, said the last date for submitting papers to the conference is February 20, many research papers have been already been received by the peer review committee.
