Medical camp organised by DLSA

A medical camp was recently organised at Sai Birdh Ashram in Chaura through the collaborative efforts of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Patiala, and the Health Department.
Manjinder Singh, Member Secretary of the Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar, along with Manni Arora, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary of the DLSA, Patiala, attended the event.
The medical camp catered to the health needs of the ashram’s inmates as specialised doctors conducted medical examinations, providing necessary medications.
Manjinder Singh took the opportunity to engage with the ashram’s inmates, addressing their grievances and concerns. The authorities of the ashram were urged to promptly address and resolve any problems brought to their attention, with a specific emphasis on ensuring the wellbeing of the inmates.
A visit to Pingla Ashram on Sanaur Road was undertaken by the judges, who also distributed essential items among the ashram’s inmates during the visit.
The judge also made a visit to the Alternative Dispute Redressal Centre at the District Courts Complex in Patiala to oversee its operations. The judge meticulously inspected the records maintained by the Legal Aid Defense Counsel System and the front office at the DLSA office. During the visit, interactions took place with retainer lawyers in the front office, as well as Legal Aid Defense Counsels, with the presence of Manni Arora.
