Newborn’s body ripped by dogs found at Gurdev Nagar

The police have recovered body of a newborn, ripped apart by stray dogs, today. Earlier, the body was thrown into bushes at Gurdev Nagar and devoured by stray dogs.
Officials said dogs clawed and decapitated the body while fighting over it. Later, dogs entered the residential area where they were spotted carrying the body.
The Kotwali police station SHO, Sukhdev Singh, said remains of the body were kept at the mortuary of the Government Rajindra Hospital for identification. A case was also registered against an unidentified woman under Section 318 (Concealment of birth by secret disposal of dead body) of the IPC, he added.
