Novelist Nanak Singh’s belongings donated to Punjab Language Department

The family of novelist Nanak Singh has donated some of his personal belongings to the Punjab Language Department.

Under the leadership of Director Jaswant Singh Zafar, a dedicated section has been established in the library at Bhasha Bhavan, Patiala, to preserve and honor Nanak Singh’s legacy.

The new section was formally inaugurated in the presence of Nanak Singh’s grandson, Karamvir Singh Suri, along with several dignitaries, including Joint Director Harpreet Kaur, Deputy Director Harbhajan Kaur, Assistant Directors Amrinder Singh, Alok Chawla, and Surinder Kaur, Superintendents Bhupinderpal Singh and Swarnjeet Kaur, and Research Assistants Harpreet Singh, Gurjeet Singh, Manjinder Singh, Neha, and Jagmel Singh.

Speaking on the occasion, Director Jaswant Singh Zafar emphasised the importance of preserving the memorabilia and personal artifacts of distinguished writers. –TNS
