One held with 8-gm heroin



Patiala, February 21

The Patiala police on Thursday recovered 8-gm of heroin and nabbed one person in Patran block of the district. The accused has been identified as Thakurdeep Singh, a resident of Harman Nagar, in Patran.

The police officials said they had set up a naka at Patran Anaj Mandi. The accused was driving a scooter without a number plate. On checking, the police recovered banned substances from him. The police informed that the accused had been booked under sections 22, 61, 85 of the NDPS Act and further investigations were underway. — TNS
