Patiala DC Showkat Ahmad Parray reviews progress of development works in royal city

An assessment of various development projects underway in the district was conducted by Deputy Commissioner Showkat Ahmad Parray here.
He instructed the officials overseeing the development projects to ensure the projects are completed on time, in accordance with the directives of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
Parray had a look at the construction of all divisional complexes, the 24×7 water supply canal-based project, the renovation of the Patiala registrar office, record rooms and the provision of basic amenities in the dairy complexes.
The progress in the establishment of six new public health clinics, the construction of basic infrastructure in 10 government schools, including Wi-Fi, furniture, boundary walls and toilets, provision of clean drinking water supply, the status of renovation of classrooms, and the assessment of MGNREGA works were also overseen by Parray.
He emphasised that delay or negligence in any task in accordance with the directives will not be tolerated. “Therefore, officials must work diligently to ensure that the projects are completed on time,” he said.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Dr Harjinder Singh Bedi, civil engineer Dr Raminder Kaur, district development and panchayat officer Amandeep Kaur, district revenue officer Navdeep Singh and officials from various departments.
