Under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan initiative, the MC led by Commissioner Rajat Oberoi organised an awareness visit for 50 students o a local college. The students were given organic manure made from wet waste.

On this occasion, Sunil Kumar Mehta, secretary of Health, MC, addressed the gathering. He explained how chairs, tables, bouquets and other decorative items could be made from discarded materials like wood, cardboard and plastic.

Health officer Navinder Singh informed the students that the aim of this campaign was to raise awareness among residents about cleanliness, reduce the use of plastic and its recycling. To achieve this goal, awareness camps will be organised in every neighborhood and various cleanliness programmes will be conducted in schools, colleges, and markets, he added.
