Patiala Music Festival to begin from Dec 11
Will bring power-packed presentations by classical singers and instrumentalists
The annual Patiala Music Festival will kick off on December 11 and will continue till December 14. The much-awaited festival features scintillating performances by some iconic artistes from across the country.
Organised by the North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC), the festival, will bring power-packed presentations by classical singers and instrumentalists.
The four-day soiree of music and muse, offers an immersive experience to the ardent music lovers of the city. The festival will begin with the performance of renowned classical singer Parveen Sultana and well-known percussionist Mujawar Rahman.
Those who will perform in the coming days, include Pandit Ronu Majumdar, Pandit Rajesh Vaishnav, Ustad Akram Khan, Ustad Asghar Hussain, Pandit Abhay Sopori, the Kashyap brothers, which comprise a captivating Marathi performance by Kausar-Swarn.
The stellar performances by these artistes will offer a unique blend of various genres of classical music at the festival.
The organisers stated, “The entry to the festival is free so as to enable music lovers to enjoy the wizardry of Indian classical music maestros.”
