Patiala police arrest gangster Gurcharan Singh Kalu after encounter

The Patiala police have arrested gangster Gurcharan Singh Kalu following an encounter in the Faggan Majra village. According to SSP Varun Sharma, a police party led by SP (Investigation) Gurbans Singh Bains spotted a Scorpio near the village, prompting the occupant to fire four shots from an illegal pistol.

The police returned fire, injuring the accused in the leg. The injured individual has been rushed to the hospital. SSP Sharma stated that Kalu is a hardened criminal with over eight cases registered against him, including armed robbery and the NDPS Act violations.
