A two-day wildlife awareness programme, being organised to commemorate World Wildlife Day by the Department of Zoology in collaboration with Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Government Mohindra College, commenced here today.

The event was inaugurated by the Principal, Prof Amarjit Singh. He said such endeavours were commendable as these enhanced the knowledge of students in current studies and understanding to conserve the wildlife.

An extension lecture was delivered by Dr Onkar Singh Brraich on “Aquatic Wildlife, Threats and Conservation Measures”. Around 150 students of BSc (Medical) and BSc (Biotechnology) participated in it. Around 35 students participated in a poster-making competition.
