Play ‘Hi! Handsome’ staged on Day 1 of theatre fest

A hindi comedy play Hi! Handsome, presented by Nat Sansar (Regd) Patiala, was staged on the inaugural day of the two-day theatre festival organised by the North Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala, under the Ministry of Culture, Govt of India. The performance took place at the Kalidasa Auditorium, Virsa Vihar Kendra, Patiala.

The play, written by Jaivardhan and directed by Vinod Kaushal, conveyed a heartwarming message to the youth, urging them to take better care of their parents. The light-hearted comedy earned the audience's admiration, compelling them to stand and applaud.

The stellar cast, including Vinod Kaushal, Dolly Kapoor, Gaurav Goyal, Rohan Monga, Aastha Thapliyal, and Amarjeet Walia, was widely praised for their performances. Harsh Sethi's lighting design, Kamaldeep Timmy's music, and the makeup and costume designs by Joga Singh and Kirandeep further enhanced the play's visual appeal.

At the conclusion of the performance, senior theatre director and actor Mohan Kamboj expressed his gratitude to the North Zone Cultural Centre for organising such festivals that celebrate the arts.
