Patiala police claimed to have foiled a gang of thieves active in the Shutrana area with the arrest of three suspects. The police have recovered 13 bikes from their possession, and a case has been registered under various sections of the IPC at the Shutrana police station.

Addressing mediapersons, Patiala SSP Varun Sharma said that in addition to the three suspects, they have arrested Sandeep Kumar in a separate case, adding that during interrogation he accepted that he was using a stolen motorcycle that he had thieved with his aides. “When we questioned Sandeep, he gave us the names of his aides: Kashmir Kaur, Sooraj Ram, Banti, and Sonu Ram. Sooraj Ram and Banti are absconding, and the other three suspects were arrested. We have also recovered 13 motorbikes that they stole recently,” said the SSP.
