Power outage during surgery sparks political controversy at Rajindra Hospital in Patiala
Rajindra Hospital, a premier health facility in Patiala, is in the news again after an operating surgeon raised concerns about a power outage and electricity tripping during surgery. The surgeon recorded a video and shared it with colleagues, asking who would be held accountable if something happened to the patient, who was on a ventilator.
The video quickly went viral, prompting the Health Minister to clarify the situation and assure that the patient was safe. However, the incident sparked a political controversy ahead of the Delhi Assembly election, with BJP leader and Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu criticising AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal’s health model. He also shared the video on X from his official account.
