Assistant professor Gaurav Dhiman of School of Sciences and Emerging Technologies, Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University (JGND PSOU), Patiala, was appointed honorary adjunct faculty at the School of Computing in Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, (MAAUN) for five years.

He specialises in artificial intelligence, machine/deep learning, software engineering and optimisation. He is a highly cited researcher as per Clarivate Analytics (top 1 per cent) and ranks among the world’s top researchers (Stanford University and Elsevier top two per cent) He has published approximately 300 peer-reviewed research papers, all indexed in SCI, SCIE, Scopus and authored 10 international books. JGND PSOU Vice-Chancellor Karamjeet Singh congratulated Dhiman on the achievement.
