Baldev Singh Sran, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Punjab State Power Corporation (PSPCL) has made an appeal to the PSPCL officials to plant maximum number of trees in surroundings of their offices, grids and other official buildings to play their role in maintaining ecological balance in the state.

Sran made this appeal while planting saplings in the PSPCL Head Office here on Friday. He also made a similar appeal to the farmers of the state to plant trees around their tubewells, electric motors and other vacant spaces in the fields.

He also laid stress on the need to make joint efforts for encouraging tree plantation across Punjab with a purpose to safeguard environment and neutralise the factors which cause ecological imbalance because of over exploitation of resources.
