The Shiromani Akali Dal senior vice-president and former MP, Prem Singh Chandumajra, along with the Sanaur MLA, Harinderpal Singh Chandumajra, today started ‘Punjab bachao samelan’ in view of Centre government’s farm laws, in Patiala. Slamming the Centre Government, participants said MSP should be considered a right of farmers.

A collective report should be prepared through a committee comprising representatives of farmers, economists, farming experts and the government for enacting laws, they added. Prem Singh Chandumajra said the main motive of the samelan was to bring all people together in the interest of farming sector in the state. — TNS
