Ena Arora won the first-ever fencing medal for Punjab at the 38th edition of the National Games in Uttarakhand. She secured a silver medal in the individual Women’s Epee event being held in Haldwani from February 8 to 13. Ena Arora, an excise and taxation inspector with the Punjab Government, trains at the National Institute of Sports (NIS) in Patiala. She expressed gratitude to her coaches, physiotherapist, staff from NIS and the Department of Excise and Taxation for their support.

The Punjab Fencing Association acknowledged the support of the NIS, Patiala, for providing an indoor hall and necessary assistance for the coaching camp. “I have been training very hard twice a day and also worked on improving my fitness which helped me tremendously,” Ena said. “I hope to continue the good run and represent the country in fencing,” she said. Enahas represented India in various international competitions, including the Asian Games and World Championships.
