Deputy Commissioner Preeti Yadav visited the Sanauri and Sanaur grain markets today to start paddy procurement. During her visit, she reviewed the arrangements and instructed officials of the procurement agencies to ensure that paddy was purchased at fair prices.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasised, “The Chief Minister, Bhagwant Singh Mann, is closely monitoring the procurement efforts and any lapses will not be tolerated.”
Deputy Commissioner Yadav assured that all necessary measures had been taken to ensure a smooth procurement process. No farmer will face any difficulties. She held a meeting with officials from the Mandi Board, Market Committee, procurement agencies and arhtiyas, during which she stressed the importance of prompt purchase and lifting of paddy to avoid delays.
Addressing the farmers, she urged them to bring dry paddy to the mandis for a quick processing and short waiting time. She reaffirmed that the district administration was fully committed to ensuring a hassle-free procurement experience for farmers.
