Singers sang Bollywood evergreen songs during an event held to remember Indian playback singer and musician Mohammad Rafi on his 42nd death anniversary here at the Bhasha Bhawan on Monday.

The event was organised by Royal Patiala Cultural and Welfare Society. Organisers said more than 60 singers from different parts of Punjab enthralled the audience with popular songs sung by legendary singer Mohammad Rafi.

Paramjit Singh Parwana, president, Ramgarhia Cultural and Welfare Council, who was the chief guest on the occasion, presented two songs. Barinder Singh Khurl, Parwinder Kaur, Barjesh Modi, Pawan Kalia, Babbal Arora, Randeep Kaur Arora, Ujjawal, Kailash Atwal and Rajiv Verma were among other performers.
