Patiala, October 21
The food wing of the Health Department today inspected prominent sweets shops in the city and collected 10 samples.
To check food adulteration, a food safety team inspected Jaggi Sweets, Malhotra Sweet Corner and Kwality Bakery. The team collected samples of cake, cream roll, biscuits and other sweetmeats.
Reportedly, the team had already visited the workshop of Gopal Sweets on Monday.
However, the lab reports of samples will take three weeks to come out.
Dr Shelly Jaitley, District Health Officer (DHO), said they had inspected several sweet shops and collected food samples. She said they had already collected 43 food samples this month. — TNS
