Rajat Oberoi has replaced Aaditya Dachalwal as the new chief of the Patiala MC. Dachalwal had taken charge as Patiala MC Commissioner in March. The IAS officer had a tough task at hand as after the transfer of Aditya Uppal on December 5, the civic body remained without a head for three months.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
