‘Retake Zindagi’ enthralls audience theatre fest

On the third day of the 11th Norah Richards Theatre Festival, the play ‘Retake Zindagi’, written by Rajwinder and Lakha Lehri, was presented by Sarthak Rangmanch. The play was directed by Lehri.

The event, organised by Sarthak Rangmanch and Social Welfare Society, in collaboration with the Department of Youth Welfare, Punjabi University, and the North Zone Cultural Centre, drew an enthusiastic response from the audience.

The plot revolved around a couple who come to court for a divorce, but the judge orders them to live together for fifteen days in a hotel room at the court’s expense. Along with comedy, the play also pointed towards several serious and grave issues.

While the character of Balli was played by Kultaran Gill, Rupkamal Kaur took on the role of Preet. Vishal Sonwal and Nancy were the supporting cast. The lighting effects by Uttam Daral and Preet Kharkhal added sharpness to the play, while Ravi Nandan’s music enhanced the mood with music coordination by Kunwarjeet Singh.
