Revised voter list prepared for district
The voter list for Patiala district was officially finalised based on the eligibility date of January 1, 2025. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Isha Singal handed over the revised voter lists and CDs to representatives of political parties during a formal meeting held today.
Announcing the details, ADC Isha Singal shared the total number of voters in the district has now reached 15,01,207. This includes 7,83,268 men, 7,17,877 women and 62 transgender voters. She highlighted that the revision process involved adding new voters, removing ineligible entries, and updating records across the district’s eight assembly constituencies.
Singal further elaborated that the Election Commission of India provides four eligibility dates annually—January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1—for voter list updates.
The next eligibility date is April 1, 2025, allowing for further revisions and updates.
