Patiala, July 12
Punjabi University today held a one-day seminar on ‘role of artificial intelligence and automation in agriculture’.
Dr Rajiv Ahuja, Director, IIT-Ropar, who was the keynote speaker on the occasion, discussed the importance of technology and various opportunities of research available to students and scholars in the field of technologies used in agriculture.
Dr Sikander Singh Cheema, convener of the seminar, said, “These agriculture-based seminars can help in developing technologies that can be used by farmers to increase yield.” The event was organised by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
