Sewa Kendra at Patiala MC office to remain open for 12 hours: ADC
A Sewa Kendra located at the Patiala Municipal Corporation office will now remain open for 12 hours — from 8 am to 8 pm — for the convenience of public, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Isha Singal said.
She added that people, who were previously unable to visit the service centre during the day due to work or other commitments, will now be able to avail of services either in the morning or evening. This extended timing will significantly benefit the public.
The ADC appealed to citizens to take full advantage of the revised timings and to directly contact the service centre for any information.
On the occasion, District IT Manager Robin Singh stated that over 440 services from 26 departments, including Transport and Revenue, were being provided through the service centres. These services include online land records (fard), learner’s licence, Aadhaar card, birth and death certificates, caste, income and residence certificates, marriage certificates, pension-related services, Ayushman card and more.
Such initiatives especially benefit individuals, who work in jobs, businesses or offices during the day, allowing them to access these services even after routine office hours.
