Doctors and students in government hospitals have shut down OPDs and are staging sit-ins, demanding their safety.

This candlelight march and protest is in solidarity with all the students who are protesting nationwide, stated the students leaders.

The student leaders further said those convicted in previously registered cases were freely roaming on parole, and the culprits in the Bilkis Bano case were released on August 15, 2022, emboldening such heinous criminals in society.

The student organisations demanded that the hearing of this case be conducted by a sitting judge of the Supreme Court, and the culprits be immediately given the harshest punishment.
